Our boat is a Tofinou 9.7m — hull #11, built in 2020, and named Boat of the Year the same year. It uses a silent electric motor for manoeuvring in and out of coves, combined with traditional sail power on open water. The result is a genuinely peaceful experience that feels nothing like a conventional boat trip.
For families, the silence is transformative. Children can hear each other, spot fish in the clear water below, and actually feel present in the landscape rather than shouted over by an engine.
